Galaxy Buds Live - Samsung's first TWS earbuds with active noise canceling - part 2
The active noise canceling system in the headphones works on the basis of two external and one internal microphone. She tries to cut out monotonous external noises, such as the sound of a subway car or passing cars, but at the same time Samsung notes that in this model they did not try to completely isolate the user. Accordingly, external sounds will still break through and, in the opinion of the company, is good for use in the city. Therefore, Galaxy Buds Live does not have a "transparency" mode, which allows you to better hear what is happening around through external microphones, because of the shape of the body it is simply not needed. I will note that the noise cancellation system does not create too much antiphase and thus does not put pressure on the eardrums, so listening to music with active ANC should be comfortable.
The battery life of the Galaxy Buds Live is announced at 6 hours with active noise cancellation plus 21 hours of listening time, adding a charging case. And if you turn off ANC, then you can count on 8 hours of music and plus 29 hours from the case. 5 minutes inside the latter should provide Buds Live for about an hour of playback. The case itself is charged wired via the USB Type-C port or wirelessly via induction charging.
Galaxy Buds Live should go on sale in Ukraine on August 21 at a price of UAH 4,499.
