A large screen without any cutouts / holes and a flip camera. ASUS Zenfone 7 will be presented on August 26

Last month, ASUS unveiled the third generation of its gaming smartphone ROG Phone 3, and now it is the turn of the main flagship series Zenfone 7. Its presentation is scheduled for August 26th.

You can follow the Zenfone 7 announcement during an online broadcast, which is on the ASUS YouTube channel at 09:00 Kyiv time.

In total, two models are expected within the Zenfone 7 series - the base Zenfone 7 on the "regular" flagship Snapdragon 865 processor and the advanced Zenfone 7 Pro on its overclocked version Snapdragon 865+. References to both Qualcomm's flagship platforms were previously revealed as a result of a Zenfone 7 firmware source leak. It is unclear if there will be any further differences between the models.

The flagship smartphone Zenfone 7 retains the main highlight of its predecessor ZenFone 6 - a flip camera that can be used for selfies. Judging by the teaser, in the new generation ASUS has significantly improved the motorized swivel module by installing twice as many lenses - four instead of two.

It is expected that ASUS ZenFone 7 will receive a larger diagonal screen - 6.7 inches versus 6.4 inches from its predecessor. Of course, there will be no cutouts or holes in it. Also, the smartphone is credited with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of flash memory, a 5000 mAh battery with support for 30-watt charging, Wi-Fi 6, NFC and Bluetooth 5.0 modules, and Android 10 OS.

A prototype ZenFone 7 with 8GB of RAM running Android 10 was spotted in the Geekbench benchmarking database the other day. In single-threaded mode, the smartphone scored 959 points, and in multi-threaded mode, its result was 3345 points.
